Any natural person or legal entity complying with the following requirements may join us:
— Spanish companies producing and/or editing home and contract equipment.
— With products that have been designed and industrialised by them, which are contemporary, functional, high-quality and with an export potential.
— That recognise original design, intellectual property and have in-house or external industrial designers involved in their product development processes.
— With design as a key factor for competitiveness.
— That include the concept of design in their quality, communication and marketing processes.
Predisposition, development and application of other factors of competitiveness will also be judged positively:
— Innovation policies.
— Cooperation policies.
— Communication policies.
— Internationalization policies.
— Sustainability and Production Ethics policies.
The process established by the Association in its Statutes lays down that after fulfilling the requirements and submitting the documents requested, the Board of Directors will either accept or refuse the candidate’s application.
In case of approval, the candidate will receive a formal letter of approval with the instructions to become a full-right associate member.

— Report of the company: brief summary of the history, and definition of the structure, organization, as well as strategies as regards innovation and design, communication, cooperation, internationalization and sustainability, and production ethics. List of the design professionals collaborating with the company, actions to protect intellectual and industrial property, patents and brands, prizes and awards.
— Graphic documents: product catalogues.
— Two endorsing letters from member companies.

Because we want to promote the cultural value of design.
Because RED will act as an official spokesman with Public Administrations to defend the interests of the Habitat Design industrial sector.
Because it is a stake for the future, with new ideas and the management of knowledge for innovation and internationalization.
Because RED is a cross-association intending to grow strong Spain-wide in order to promote the growth of all companies.
Because, in the medium-term, RED plans to count on more than 100 members from the different home, contract and urban furnishing sub-sectors.
Because RED is a non-profit association watching over the interests of its members, as well as all companies that stake on design as a factor of competitiveness.
Because RED will generate policies and projects that will help its member companies to promote their competitive values.
Because RED will design, plan and organise innovative promotion and communication events in Spain and abroad to increase the presence of Spanish design products worldwide.
What is the structure?
An association has been created, with the aim of representing the interests of companies from the habitat design sector, establishing collaboration bonds with other entities and institutions on a national, regional and local level, and promoting projects and services that will increase the presence of Spanish design products worldwide.
How does it work?
The Board of Directors: provisionally made up of the representatives of the 8 founding members.
The Technical Team: deals with the daily management of the association and carries out the actions and projects decided by the members.
There will be internal and external resources available for the funding:
Fees and other services: members pay a yearly fee.
Subventions: the Administration has been asked for financial support for the set-up, the management structure and the planned projects.
